The Team: As a rancher and the owner-operator of a working longhorn and horse ranch in Cane Creek Valley, Bill Taylor felt he had been cast into the role of developer by the nature of his surroundings. He evolved into being a steward of the land with great respect for God's gift of the land to us. Over the years, as he purchased neighboring lands, he put restrictions in place before reselling - protecting this unzoned area of the valley from overdevelopment.

Taylor Land & Cattle Company embodies Bill's ideas and experience as a visionary, native of Asheville and as a land owner and grading contractor.
And then there is Bill's son, Billy Taylor, who is continuing the tradition as the 4th generation equipment operator/artist with Taylor Contracting Co, Inc. Bill's advice to his son is "use your bulldozer like an artist uses a paintbrush to enhance and work with the land." Billy has an innate talent and gracefully maneuvers the big machines with minimal impact. He takes pride in his work and it shows
